It’s finally complete, and here’s a little snapshot of our beautiful new kitchen space! Throughout our recent home renovation, the kitchen was probably the space I agonised over most. It’s the one space you need to get right. The hub of the home; a place where we gather, talk, eat and share. We are a family with young kids…it needed to be bright, happy place that really reflected our true selves.
What eventuated was even better than I’d ever imagined!
I always knew I wanted something a little different – so when I caught sight of the Ferrari yellow Bertazzoni oven, I HAD to have it. That was the starting point of my mood board. Everything else in the space was designed with that in mind.
How beautiful is the warm recycled timber cabinetry from Mark Tuckey Fitzroy!
But for me personally, the real dream-boat is that gorgeous glass splash back created just for us by my stunningly talented friend, Ellie Malin. Ellie is a Melbourne artist and this was her first foray into large-scale print-on-glass. I’ll be chatting to Ellie a little later on my blog.
I’d love to see pics of your own special spaces…or hear your thoughts on mine. Too quirky and colourful? Bold and bright? Just right? Drop me a line!
